The adventure continues!!

The construction and painting of Flak Bunker 517 is nearing completion. Some final detail and weathering, and the station will be ready to receive the Flak!

Please ignore the awful photoediting and poor pseudo-German ....

Those following the building of this bunker will see that I have strayed from my original ideas by using a textured paint. This had the net effect of making all of Jakes airbrushing work for naught. Luckily, he's young and will get over it. It did make a fine base coat for the textured paint, though. Another good thing is the textured paint left most of the striations I mentioned, while filling little boo-boos. Hooray

Also, the background is the view from the Ranger memorial at Pointe-Du-Hoc. What a great view!!

Herr General-Major is upset

Gefreiter! Commen ze down here immediately!!

Oh no, the General has caught Hans sleeping it off again!!
"Jawol, Herr General-Major!!!"

Another Saturday night in old Grossdeutschland...

"Stand at attention when I address you! Why was that man sleeping?"

In the background, Hans has had all he can take of war. He's had a wee nip, and was trying to take a wee nap, when the General Major showed up.

Inspiration Strikes Hans!

Here the Gefreiter contemplates life as a Schutze on the Russian Front.....

Meanwhile, like generations of guards in french fortifications before him, Hans farts in General-Major Onmatitz's general direction.

Pausing his rant, General-Major Onmatitz observes "It sure is vindy here on der coast..."

Photo Recon view

This is the view from low flying recon plane...

Yet another fine product of Schotsy Toy Company!
