One man's dream is another man's nightmare!!!

I'm keeping track of the progress of my pal Maceo's Super-Biggie Deluxe Castle diorama here. He has over a hundred figures in late medieval and fantasy courtier costume, including delegations from Asia, Africa, the Elves and all points in between.

So far, we're just working on the great hall, but he's planning four towers too.

NOTE: Names have been changed to protect the innocent.

All the figures have names, and details, but I don't know them, so you get what you get, name-wise....

Construction Begins

King Fred and Lady Bamboozle survey the layout of the great hall. King Fred sees the crazy lines denoting the main door and wonders how one will ever get in or out.... There is also some concern as to why the inner doors have the curious blue material blocking them...Luckily for our heroes, the front wall is non-existant.

Give A Man A Fish....

And it flops around until it dies.... Teach a man to build his own damn castle and you lounge around the rest of the day!!!

This is the infamous Maceo, internationally acclaimed wit and bon vivant (making his own damn castle).

Can You See Me Now?

Yours truly, in one of my rare photo appearances. The big hole on the wall is the inset for a round stained glass window.

Finished for the afternoon....

Kat Dragonslayer admires the work done so far. She'll need a similar home so she can mount her dragon head over the fire place.

Window Detail

Some detail of the Castle's main stained glass window. It came from a museum store in Chicago, where Maceo used to live.

As the daylight fades.....

Kat Dragonslayer takes one last look around before going home for the day....

More to Come.... Stay tuned...
